| How do I Buy things? Audiogon.com is a listing service, where registered members may buy and sell items from one another. Audiogon does not directly handle any of the items advertised. Rather, it is the users (private parties, dealers, manufacturers) that post items for sale who have possession.
There are two types of listings at Audiogon: Classifieds and Auctions. If an item is listed in the Classifieds, then you would contact the Seller by using the link "send email" that is found within each Classified. You would then negotiate an agreement and make purchase arrangements with the Seller via email and telephone. Alternatively, you may use the new Audiogon Offer System by clicking the "Make an Offer" link found at the top of each ad. The Offer System is a binding agreement should the Seller choose to accept it. This means for the duration of the offer, you should assume the Seller will accept.
For more information on the Offer System, please see: http://www.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/faq.pl?Offers/Buyer&1108262796&actg#1
If the item is listed in the Auctions, then you may submit a "bid" which is a binding agreement to purchase, if your bid is the highest above reserve at the end of the auction.
Please note that Audiogon can not offer any guarantees or assurances regarding the performance of any of our users. This website is purely a listing service that aims to bring together buyers and sellers.
