Audiogon sellers range from private parties to high volume distributors to factory direct retailers. The level of experience ranges from hobbyists who are selling things over the internet for the first time, to veteran traders who have bought and sold numerous items, to high volume merchants who have conducted thousands of transactions. Buyers should keep these differences in mind when setting their expectations of a particular seller.
Audiogon "Dealers" are the higher volume sellers at Audiogon.
They are long term tenants at Audiogon that strive for customer satisfaction and long term relationships. These sellers have reputations to protect and no anonimity. Thus, you are more likely to have a faster and easier transaction with a registered Dealer at Audiogon.
Every seller at Audiogon has a unique Username.
Each item listing will display the seller's Username, and related links such as their feedback history. Most private parties do _not_ use their real name as their Username, while businesses will often do so. In all cases, buyers should request the full name and a phone number from any seller before transacting.
Audiogon can _not_ endorse or otherwise guarantee the actions of any of the sellers that use our service. However, long time sellers at Audiogon are experienced traders that have a reputation to protect. Buyers should check the feedback, and speak to the seller over the phone before conducting any transactions.
