Eric Barbour type tube headphone amplifier/preamplifier with volume control

This is a DIY headphone amplifier that I bought years ago.  It is wonderful sounding.  The circuit is based on a cathode follower 6sn7/6sl7 Eric Barbour brute force schematic, with the exception that it uses zeners instead of gas voltage regulators and 6sn7 tubes instead of 12sn7 tubes.

It has a high grade locking headphone output.

The device can also be used as a preamp with two switchable RCA inputs and one RCA type output.

 An extra switch was used as a B plus switch, but is now disconnected.  I presume it could be connected again to use a mercury vapor rectifier if desired.

The power supply is separate and quite massive for a headphone amp, and currently uses a 5y3 rectifier and and a 6080/6AS7G dual triode in the power supply for stabilization, with three separate large transformers.  The chassis is copper on both the preamp section and the power amp section.  Power section and preamp section  are connected by an umbilicus.

With standard 30 to 100 ohm headphones with banana jack, the sound is rich, smooth, and detailed, just what you would expect from a premium, high end tubed headphone amplifier.

This unit is sold AS IS without warranty or returns, but is in good working condition as tested before sale.  I used it for a long time as my computer headphone amp.
