Dahlquist DQ-20 With Full Regnar Upgrades

Legendary time aligned phase array classic from Dahlquist.  Great overall clarity.  Instruments and voices sound uncannily real, hard to match at any price.  That’s why some of their biggest fans are musicians.  Black frames show signs of wear but it’s what’s inside that counts.  These DQ-20s have all available upgrades offered by Regnar, which employs former-Dahlquist techs and services this model.  Crossover capacitors and coils are upgraded.  Woofers refoamed.  Original internal wiring has been replaced with 14 GA stranded copper wire. Gold plated binding posts upgrade the old red & black terminal posts.  Grills replaced.  Read more on the Regnar website.  Why 5?  The speakers are vintage 1990 and, to me, that knocks them down by 3.  Then, nice grills but the frames have scratches as shown, hence the 5.  They look fine from 5 feet away and I suspect that they would be perfectly acceptable as-is in most situations -- even when new, I doubt that this model was on any interior decorator’s short list.  But they could easily be refinished by virtually anyone who has ever painted.  Either way they sound wonderful.  Call with any questions.  Money order, PayPal, or cash.  Local pickup only.  Thanks for reading.
