SOLD AS PAIR
These are the legendary speakers, but re-coned in 1975 (per cone markings), modified to 8 ohms, from the original 16 ohms.
I bought a 1963 Fender Blonde Showman guitar amp around 1992. These speakers were in the dual-cabinet. I did not know anything about speakers at the time. The amp and speakers sounded great, that's all I cared about. Fast forward to 2020. Paul Morte at Technical Services, Orange, CA told me what I had, but indicated they had been re-coned to 8 ohms for guitar, presumably. Functioning well for their altered purpose.
Buyer will see the value in re-coning closer to original specs. The frames, magnets, etc. are original.
S/N 12019 tests at 8.07 ohms. S/N 12381 tests at 7.79 ohms.
Speakers have been authenticated by David Florio.
Questions for the seller |

Is there any reason why you rate the condition 5/10? Is there any issue?
Thank you,
Ryan
Was not sure of what condition to list because cones not original, went half way on the scale. All but cones are original. Pics show the normal wear. |
