Music Vault Emerald Music Server

I bought this about two weeks ago and decided I don't really need it. It is new and Neal at Sound Science said he would be glad to help the new owner get it dialed in. It has 2 3TB hard drives, a solid state drive, db poweramp ripper. J Rivers playing software with the option to control remotely as I have on your Ipad.. It also has software to convert cassettes and LPs to digitial.The sound is nothing short of excellent!Below is a description from Music Vault...

Unlike the Music Vault II and the Music Vault Diamond, the Emerald has analog outputs, and perhaps more importantly, analog inputs. This makes the Emerald the ideal way to record your albums and/or SACDs to PCM digital. No other server in its price range can match the stunning sound of the Emerald, or its functionality as a digital recorder of your analog world.

The recording quality of the Emerald is spectacular; all the richness of your LPs or SACDs will be captured and be virtually indistinguishable from the record. Included is a copy of Vinyl Studio software with each Emerald. Vinyl Studio will find song titles, song length, and album artwork, while it breaks the songs up into individual files with very little effort on your part. Vinyl Studio can remove most of the clicks, pops, and record noise without compromise. You will be able to listen to your vinyl collection as if all your albums were brand new and noiseless. I recommend recording at 24-bits and 96K for identical copying. You can, however, choose any sample rate from 44.1K to 192K for recording and 24 or 32-bits.

The Music Vault Emerald will play back high resolution downloads up to 24-bits/192 KSPS without loss into your Preamplifier, Integrated Amplifier, Receiver, or DAC.

It has whisper quiet operation due to its fanless power supply and motherboard design.

The 3TB hard drive auto-duplicates onto an identical 3TB drive. This includes all ripped music, music downloaded from the internet, or music copied from your friend's hard drive. Music stored on the internal drives in this manner outperforms external storage for optimum convenience and sound quality.

The Music Vault Emerald will store and back up over 4500 CDs.

Additional storage is easy to add with external USB hard drives. These additional drives can be configured as storage or back-up.
