Vapor Audio Arcus Brazilian rosewood

    UPDATE: After originally seeing this ad, I was contacted by Ryan at Vapor Audio. There was originally another set of cabinets made to replace these cabinets due to the cosmetic issues. I changed paths before they were ever completed. Ryan has offered to finish those cabinets and install the old drivers and crossovers into the new cabinets. The crossovers use Clarity Cap MR capacitors, Duelund resistors and foil inductors.  He is currently in possession of the speakers pictured here. We have decided to not put the ambience tweeter on the new cabinets. These are the new style of cabinets with thicker side walls and slot loaded port on the bottom front of the baffle. These cabinets are built and have a nice Jarrah wood veneer already on them. The baffles will be painted a nice contrasting color and the entire speaker will be a high gloss finish. So what will you get with this ad? A brand new set of cabinets with fully broken in drivers and crossover parts as well as the matching stands. The new cabinets and high gloss finish bring the MSRP to $8195 and take the condition rating from 7 of 10 to 9 of 10. The asking price is adjusted as well. I am hoping to get pictures of the new cabinets from Ryan soon and will update this ad when I have the pictures. These speakers took 7 months to complete the build process. Save yourself the big wait and $3000 off the retail price for an essentially new set of speakers. I have done a pretty good comparison between these and Cirrus in my own room. Each have their strengths and both are excellent. If I were to choose one to keep based on my listening preferences, I would keep Arcus. They scale the stage like a large speaker and have excellent dynamics. However, my long term goal is to upgrade Cirrus to Joule black when the funds will support it. That makes this pair of Arcus available. Someone will get a great pair of speakers that can be with them for the long haul.
