Coda 06x FET Phono Preamplifier

Most current flagship phono preamp from CODA.  Rarely seen for sale.  I just sent this to CODA and paid them to go over it with a fine tooth comb to ensure everything is perfect.  Rating an 8 for age...unit looks and sounds new.  Audiogon blue book average sale price is $3,232.  Audiogon blue book private party sale price is $3,539.  Current new retail is $4,800.  Please note if using paypal, 3 percent will be added to purchase price to be paid by buyer.  Shipping flat rate quoted for anywhere in continental US with insurance.  

I had some industry experts (engineers who manufacture high end products) tell me that the CODA 06x phono preamp competes against $10,000-$20,000 phono stages.  One person sold a top of the line Aesthetix because this sounded better.  Research CODA (former Threshold employees) and any of their preamps (reviews on Audiogon).  These are SOTA in performance at a fraction of the price.  My personal observations -- it is super quiet, spacious (almost as if it was a tube preamp), detailed/nuanced, and very very musical (flow, liquidity, etc.).  I used it alongside my ARC REF 2se and it held its own.  Very user friendly, easy to change loading, gain, etc.  Built to last many decades. (Nice thing about CODA, they will take any of their products on trade against new CODA product, 50% of retail price of trade-in to apply toward purchase of new CODA component.)  This CODA is the current flagship in their lineup and has both balanced and single ended inputs.  It is very versatile -- moving magnet gain, three levels of moving coil gain, impedance/capacitance/cartridge loading settings, etc.  Can switch inside between US and European voltage with a simple switch.

REASON FOR SALE:  I acquired an Air Tight ATE-2001 Reference Preamp to replace my ARC Ref 40 preamp; the Air Tight has 4 phono inputs in its phono preamp section, so along with my ARC Ref2se phono preamp, I no longer need this additional component.  While the ARC and Air Tight (MM section) are better than the CODA, the CODA at 1/3 the cost was very close in performance.

PLEASE NOTE this unit can run on US or European voltage.  There is a switch inside the unit that toggles between the two. I have it set for US voltage.  Easy to switch between the two.
