Aragon 24K Preamp plus D2A DAC

This beautiful Pre-Amp and DAC are by the legendary audio manufacturer, Aragon (which at the time was owned by Mondial designs). Both function exactly as they should - no issues.

Does not include original box but will ship with professional packaging using Fed-EX to US only. Buyer pays actual shipping.

Condition:

Everything is functional and everything sounds great. Normal age related scuffs and marks are present, but if set up in a rack or cabinet, this system will look beautiful and very attractive, hence the 8/10 rating mostly for age. Obviously not offering any warranties but I have tested all components for full functionality and will re-test one more time before shipment.

Sound:

I bought this preamp/DAC along with the 2004 Amp (which has been sold)  from original owner 6 years ago and have been using it as my main 2 channel set up with a Shanling MC3000 all in one CD player, a Linn LP12 TT and Axiom M60 speakers. I still remember the first time I sat back and listened to its sound. The first words that conjured up to my mind were “open space” … the soundstage the Aragon threw before me was so much bigger than my previous Carver amp. Combined with 2004 Amplifier (already sold) the 24K, & D2A, sounded liquid, honest and powerful. These will give you the classic solid state experience.

Reason for sale:

I have finally taken the plunge to tube amps and selling these to fund a new tube pre as well as those never ending LP12 upgrades.

This was part of my first true hifi system and I have received great joy from it over the years. I truly hope that the new owner will enjoy them as I did.
