Up for sale is an amazing piece of audiophile equipment, in nearly mint condition. This is the Legacy L200 high current Class A/AB power amplifier made by Coda technologies. Some of you may know that Coda originated from some former Threshold members, and they have done a fantastic job keeping up the incredible build quality and audio quality that Threshold is world famous for. This amplifier is no exception. Rated at 220 WPC into 8 ohms and 380 WPC into 4 ohms, this unit delivers effortless musicality into any load. It has no overall global feedback (just like the Threshold units) and this allows it to deliver the goods with amazing authority and finesse at the same time. Unit has both RCA and Balanced inputs. Has been checked and is spot on in terms of bias and DC offset. Unit is completely original and works like the day it was new. No bent fins, no major dings, as a matter of fact it is hard to find any flaws on it. Comes with the original box/manual as well. This is a completely DC coupled unit, meaning there are no capacitors in the signal path at all to alter the sound. Each channel has 10 large, high power/current Bipolar power transistors with a total dissipation capability of 2000W! One of the cleanest layouts internally that you will ever see, and no messy mica insulators with thermal compound that dries out, this is built right with Sil-pads which last a lifetime. Unit weighs 50 lbs on it's own. Large toroidal transformer and dual mono configuration. The closest Coda equivalent today will set you back nearly $10K. I also have the matching preamp listed (see my other ads) too for those that might appreciate the complete set. The preamp is also a marvelous piece of equipment. These don't come up very often and for good reason. Selling this to raise funds for other purchases. Shipping is fixed at $75 which is a bargain because rates have been increasing a lot lately.
