Believe me, I know how strange this sounds. I had Brooks Berdan order this pair of Atma-Sphere M60's for me, to power my stacked old Quads. I even sent Ralph a pair of Cardas binding posts to install in place of the one's he was using at the time. I took delivery of them, and then WHAM! Life interceded, and they have been languishing in their still-sealed boxes ever since. Sounds unbelievable, yet it's all true. The Atma-Sphere brushed champagne faceplate-style chassis, so cool and classy. The tubes, also in their still-sealed box, waiting to be installed in this pair of 60 watt mono amps. Perhaps the last old-style pair made, right before the change to the retro-style chassis they've inhabited ever since. You know the design, fully detailed in the product brochure, a pic of which I've posted---All triode, Class-A operation, output transformerless (OTL), balanced differential design. The circuit design has evolved over the intervening years, and the changes can be incorporated into this pair. But they don't have to be. Either way, it's a great sounding amp, and a beautiful piece of hi-fi gear in this champagne faceplate guise. I'm looking to get $1999.95 for the pair, and shipping should be around $100 for the two boxes, I'm estimating (I'll refund any excess, and pay the difference if it's more). If you're in S. California, you're welcome to come out to Palm Desert (a two hour drive East of Los Angeles) to pick them up. If you do so, I can accept cash, otherwise I can take only Paypal (house rules on this type AudiogoN ad).

I've received several requests for the year of manufacture of these amps (see below). I called A-S, and it was '96. For a buyer who would want to have them updated, when that is done the amps have a new factory warranty, just as any current Atma-Sphere amp does. Great policy!

Questions for the seller
what is the production year ?
I believe it was '97, but I'll give Atma-Sphere a [filtered] tomorrow (Wednesday) to get a definitive answer. It was made right before the switch to the current "retro" style chassis. Mike, I gave A-S a [filtered] today, and Ralph told me the amps were build in '96. He also told me that if any updates are done or options installed, the amps would return to their owner with a new full warranty, just as if it were a current-production amp. Great policy!
