Audio Research LS-16 in Mint Condition!

We all move on in the quest for our own personal ideal music system, and in doing so it is time for me to sell my Audio Research pre-amps. This listing is for the LS-16 Line Stage; it's partnering PH-3SE Phono Amp is also listed. This was the last of ARC's affordable Line Stages using the 6922 tube, four of them allowing all the tube rolling your little heart desires. Want a little more of this-or-that? Swap out the tubes! The LS-16 is a great sounding Line Stage, joining the ranks of Audio Research classics such as the SP-3 and SP-6b, both of which I have owned, and both of which are clearly bested by the LS-16.

Beside providing gain (18dB of which the LS-16 has), a Line Stage is the control center for a system, and the LS-16 has the best layout and hookup capabilities I've ever seen. Two balanced inputs on XLR's, five unbalanced on RCA's (one of them for tape monitoring, one a pass-through for a processor). Two sets of balanced outputs on XLR's, one set unbalanced on RCA's, and one set tape out. I can't imagine a system the LS-16 can't handle.

This LS-16 is immaculate---very, very clean. No scratches, no nicks, no scuffs, no nuthin'! I would call it Mint, but it's over a year old, obviously. The faceplate is absolutely blemish-free, as is the top, the sides, and even the rear panel! Take a look at the pics---it's pristine.

The amp comes with owners manual, remote control, and power cord, and will ship in it's ARC double-box carton to any Continental U.S.A. destination for $50. I can accept Paypal (with 3% added for their fee, sorry) or a USPS money order.
