Audio Research Reference 2 MK1 Audio Research Reference 2 GNS modified

I am selling my beloved Reference 2 MKI with a tube complement of eight 6922 dual triodes in the music signal path and in power supply one each 5AR4, 6L6GC, and 6922.This is the last Audio Research preamp that uses the 6922/E88CC/6H23 type signal tubes so the sound can be tweaked for desired sound by tube rolling.

I am the original owner and had my preamp modified by Steve Huntley of Great Northern Sound with the Reference Level upgrade.  Please see attached photo for the specifics of the GNS upgrade. The preamp is in excellent condition.  It comes with the original packing materials, manual, and remote. I am selling as I recently upgraded to the Reference 5SE.  

To sweeten the deal I am including a number of signal tubes for tube rolling including 2 sets (#19) of Mullard E88CC NOS, 2 sets (#19) of Upscale Audio's Type 2 6H23EB, 3 sets (#24) of Upscale Audio's type 3 Electro Harmonix 6922, as well as well as a brand new set of Upscale Audio's Phillips PCC88P signal tubes, and the original Sovtek 6922 tubes that came with the preamp when new which were not used.  Also included are #5 5AR4 rectifier tubes & #6 SV6L6GC tubes for the power supply.  I estimate all tubes to have less 1000 hours on them except for the Sovtek and the Phillips since I periodically rotated tubes.  The extra tubes come in their original boxes and will be shipped in a separate package.   Buyer pays shipping and PayPal fees of 3%.   Not interested in any trades.
