Fully & beautifully restored MC225 stereo power amp –Chassis rechromed and reprinted; bottom cover powder coated.
Internal circuitry entirely rebuilt, including all power supply capacitance (German Authenticap can caps).
Sprague Atom axial electrolytic caps, coupling caps a combination of paper in oil, mylar and polypropilene, bypass caps all mylar., silver micas in feedback network and other small values. Resistors a combination of carbon comps, carbon films, and metal film, the critical 22k 2W pairs are Kiwame audiophile carbon film handmatched within 1% (specs call for 2%)
All vintage tubes, all tested and all strong:
1 x 12AX7 (Telefunken Germany), 2 x 12Au7 (RCA clear top USA), 2 x 12BH7 (NOS, new in box Genral Electric) and four vintage made-in-the-USA, Westinghouse-manufactured 7591. The power tubes are matched for current draw with a digital maximatcher.
Amp is completely quiet, fully operational, and extremely musical.
