Stunning pair of MC-60 mono blocks…Sound as good as they look/look as good as they sound.

All-vintage US and German tube complement, including 12AX7 Telefunken, NOS/NIB quad of 5U4GB and NOS/NIB pairs of USA 12AU7, 12AX7, 12BH7 (see below for more detail)
Cosmetically restored: Chassis professionally re-chromed and re-silkscreened (these are the ORIGINAL chassis, not the cheap replacements you see on ebay), black bases professionally powder-coated & transformers professionally sanded, primed, painted, and polished.

Electronically restored: all new audiophile grade carbon film resistors (Kiwame, Takman), carbon comps resistors, audiophile grade caps (combination of paper in oil in audio path, polypropylene in bypass, Sprague Atom electrolytics, silver mica in feedback network), power supply caps all replaced with brand new parts of same value as original. Voltages right on spec, bias on specs. New caps carefully selected after exhaustive exhaustive side-by-side comparison to match sound of original circuits.

– pots cleaned and deox’d for noise free operation
– no hum, no noise, etc.
– new power cords
– all transformers are original McIntosh of course.
– all tubes are vintage and tested (TV-7 tube tester, just calibrated) and matched.
Tube complement:
Two 12ax7 (Telefunken ), Two new old stock, new in box 12AU7 RCA clear top,
Two 12BH7 (New In Box, New Old Stock GE ), Two 12AX7 (New old stock, new in box GE long plates)
Four New In Box, New Old Stock USA JAN Sylvania 5U4GB rectifiers
Power tubes – – 2 pairs of matched-for-current draw vintage USA-made 6550, of identical construction and make, 2 labelled RCA, 2 labelled Tung Sol, some with missing guiding pins (which does not affect performance).

Warm, musical, as only vintage McIntosh can be. Super beefy, enormous soundstage, unbelievable detail & dynamics. I have been running them for the last few days and will continue to do so for the next week for proper burning/breaking in of new parts. Transformers run remarkably cool.

Questions for the seller
Hello. Would you accept $3600 for the pair? I also realize now I emailed you on eBay about restoring a pair of 75s. Maybe I can trade them in for credit toward the 60s. Thanks either way. I'm im Brooklyn so could drop off/pick up in person. All the best. Sincerely, Abe
Trade in = under normal circusmstances, I would be happy to consider that option. However I am about to be out of commission for a month (hernia surgery). Cash is king! Happy to split the difference ($2600/$3900) = $3750. See website! Thanks and regards
