Some think, and I certainly do, that this almost impossible to get Takatsuki TA-300B is the best in the world 300B tube. I found that compared to other top tubes Takatsuki is better in both resolution and fullness as well as bass and its articulation. I personally wouldn't go for any other tube, the effect in my system was like a major upgrade of amplifier, which is already great. Indeed, they are used in world's top amps.

Basically, if you want the performance of the best OLD Western Electric at sane prices and guaranteed reliability, there isn't much choice. AND it's several times cheaper than the OLD Westerns. AND cheaper than some top 300B tubes. Expensive? Yes. Value for money? Absolutely.

Photos show TJ Special Edition, re-issued Western Electric, and Takatsuki. I also personally know owners of extremely revealing systems who own TJ Special Edition and latest and greatest TJ CNE, Sophia Royal Princess, WE's old and new and Takatsuki, not many people have a privilege to hear all these wonderful tubes.
The ones you'll get are new in box, never used. They are the latest edition with black base (the previous had white base).

This is a unique tube and extremely difficult to get. Lately a pair was listed on agon for 2000 USED! + PP and shipping, and it was the previous white based model, not that it is worse. Reliability of these tubes is also among the very best, which is important at this price level.
