Hello Joe,Very nice system! The best sound I have had was when I had a CJ MF-2500A .I made the big mistake of selling it .I will be getting back into CJ when i am able.May sell my Supratek Chardonnay preamp to finance a CA-200.Some of the things that I loved about my MF2500A was that at fairly low volumes the sound was ,,full, room filling ,solid,3-D,,,BIG! And I found that i was fully satisfied with listening at much lower volumes than any other power amp that has been in my system. It was like you could reach out and touch the notes ,and the bass seemed to have the right amount of texture, and impact, and depth that was very impressive and just fun to listen to.I was wondering if the CA200 had the quality of sounding full ,complete,at lower volumes? Also wondering what changes do you have in store for your system? Thanks,Ray

System edited: I'm down-sizing and simplifying my system. I've acquired a conrad-johnson CA200 solid state control amplifier. My c-j 16LS2 preamp has been sold and most likely the Premier 140 amp will be going next as much as I love both these pieces, I'm moving on.

Sweet rig, always had a yen for the CJ stuff. Your system touches all the bases from tubes to music server.

Hi Joe,

Ive been there too and forgot stuff! As for the correct guess of Quads....I looked at your Blue Circle power cord component list and saw "used on quads"...:) Really, Im not that good!

The CJ and the quads must indeed sound very good together. Ive always like CJ and owned several amps and pre amps of theirs over the years. Ill never forget my first listen to a pair of Quad 57's back in the early 80's..a real treat. Enjoy your tunes on that nice system...Ken

Interesting that I left out the speakers. Thanks for pointing this out.

How did you know that they were Quads?

Regards,
Joe
