H.H. Scott 299

One of the best pairs of H.H. Scott 299 amp and 350 tuners anywhere. I looked long and hard before finding this survivor set without the dings, dents and scratches common to 60 year old stereo equipment. Rated 8 solely due to age.

I purchased this mid 2019 from Doug's Tubes. Per Doug:

Here's a rebuilt Scott 299 with Telefunken 7189's, 2 x Telefunken 12AX7's and 2 x Raytheon blackplate 12AX7's and Amperex driver tubes. There is literally $800 worth of tubes here.

They were not placed in service by me until about a year ago. Very light use since. Since this is vintage gear is sold "as-is" I wanted to make sure everything was in great shape. Both pieces were just returned from our local shop which has been selling and servicing this type of gear since it came out. The tuner was checked over, a 3 prong grounded cord installed, variable condenser repaired, and tubes replaced. LED lamps were installed for longevity and cooler operation. The amp switches and potentiometers were cleaned, 2 tubes replaced. $600 total repairs.

Ready for several more decades of real music making!
