Air Tight PC-1s Moving Coil Cartridge - Low Hours - includes PayPal & Shipping

The PC-1s was designed by Yoshio Matsudaira, who also makes the prestigious My Sonic Lab cartridges. It is an upgraded version of the PC1, and later succeeded by the PC-1 Coda (current version). It is one step down from the PC-1 Supreme and has a slightly warmer tonal balance to it.

0.5mV output - I found it to sound great with quality phono stages that can be set between 58-64db. Impedance-wise, it was set between 150-300 ohms.

I am the second owner, and it has an estimated 400 hours total (original owner never used it). It’s in great shape.

I purchased this cartridge to succeed one of my favorite cartridges, the Audio Technica ART9. After breaking the cantilever on my ART9, I tried a number of other great cartridges - Dynavector XV1S, Audio Technica ART1000, Koetsu Rosewood Signature. While the ART9 might not have been as resolving as the XV1S or ART1000, or as syrupy rich as the Koetsu, it had a blend of tonal balance, bloom, and delivery none of these cartridges has. It wasn’t until I came across the $8500 Air Tight PC-1s that the tonal character was matched, but with a significant improvement in inner detail and stage size. If you love the ART9 series, you will surely love this cartridge.
