Convergent Audio JL-2 Sig mkII Upgraded to KT-120's

For sale is my C.A.T. JL-2 which has been upgraded by Ken Stevens to the Tungsol KT-120's. With these tubes the amp sounds much better than with the original 6550's. As far as I know I am the second owner (Serial No. is 001261) and this amp as a clean history. You can inquire with Ken yourself. The large tube cages are existing, I am just not using them. They are in as a pristine condition like the entire amp.
I am selling because I need an amp with more output power because I listen to music quite loud and my Apogee Duetta Ultimates need a lot of it. If you listen to music at more commonly used sound level this amp will almost drive any speaker that is out there.
This amp was the one which really made me fall in love with tube amplification. There is not much out there that delivers the live feeling, the music and the atmosphere. I mostly listen to SACD and a good recording will just take your breath away, female vocals will give you goosebumps all over. I have not heard a solid state amp, yet, that was able to deliver the soul of the music in this way.
For those matching my asking price I have 25 brand new KT-120's to throw in (although none of the original matched set ever failed), as well as a high quality amp stand from Adona. The power cord you see on one of the photos is not included.
Dependent on how and if you want to get the amp shipped (only within the lower contiguous 48 US) I will charge a flat rate for shipping by a freight company with the box strapped to a pallet, all very safely packed, but local pick-up and audition is always welcome and even preferred. I can also deliver or meet half way between south central KY and Detroit along the I-75 corridor.
