Raven Audio Silhouette Reference Mono Tube Amplifiers MK2.1 (Pair) - KT88/6550C

For a sale is a pair of Raven Audio Silhouette Reference Mono Tube Amplifiers with various accessories, upgraded to MK 2.1 status. I am the original owner and these amps have been absolutely solid since I purchased them from Raven Audio. They sound fabulous while putting out 100W+ per channel. They are very quiet and create some nice bass slam for tube amps. Re-tubed a week ago with a fresh octet of Genalex Gold Lion KT88's.

The upgrade included new RavenCap capacitors and a TKO, PRP, NOS Allen Bradley antique, Caddock, and Takman resistor package. I rate these amps a '8' due to the upgrade (see interior pic provided by the manufacturer during the upgrade). 

They weigh 65lbs each and are made of solid aluminum. These amps are truly state of the art - read the Positive Feedback review or various show reports. I currently have them mated to Lawrence Audio Cellos via MG Audio speaker wires - a magic combination. I recently purchased a Supratek preamp and now have a pair of custom-built Supratek Monduse mono amps on order to match my preamp. I will probably regret this sale in the future.. 

Some online reviews state that you can run KT150s in these amps, but I would strongly advise to not do that. Stick with 6550's or KT88's and everything will be perfect.

• 2 upgraded reference mono tube amps (upgrade cost per amp was $750)
• 8 silver tube cages 
• 2 matched quads of the Svetlana 'The Winged SED "C" 6550C' and 2 new quads of Genalex Gold Lion
• 4 backup driver tubes - all NOS (two 12SN7 and two VT-135). More NOS driver tubes are available for purchase at #35 each (I have around 50 NOS tubes)
• 2 custom-made flight boxes for the amps I recently purchased from Raven Audio before sending them in for the upgrade - these are very solid yet lightweight and can be collapsed (cost was $500). However, I don't have the right cardboard boxes for these flight boxes to go into and hence a local sale only
