Xact Audio Number Nine Phonostage

I've worked Matjia from Sound Carrier for a longtime. He is a class guy and electrical wiz.
For now, he has put Sound carrier on hold while he attends University to further his electrical 
engineering education. So for now, I'm clearing out my inventory. 

The Number Nine phono will surprise most because the sonic performance far out shines its relatively low price.

Active gain is based on a classic transistor design. MC gain is OP amp based for the ultimate in low noise. Transistor design chosen for more of the true analog sound and greater voicing flexibility. The active gain stage and power supply are each housed in their own powder coated welded HEAVY STEEL housing for optimum channel separation, imaging and dead quiet backgrounds.

Some interesting features:
Nine gain settings. 47 for low output MM/MC plus 57,59,61,63,65,67,71 and 78db for fine tuning any known cartridge.

Eight easily adjusted load settings. 50,100,150,200,300,500,1k and 47k van den Hul internal high quality wiring.

Audio Note tantalum output resistors.

Yageo loading resistors with a 1% tolerance.

Wima capacitors.

Transformers are handmade, completely filled w/epoxy for maximum silence and vibration control.

Steel powder coated 5.5"w x 10" x 3" high chassis.

High quality components and a well thought out, simple as possible circuit produce black backgrounds, excellent detail retrieval, and strong realistic bass. It has beat out some well known, much more expensive phonostages in group listening tests. I guarantee you will like this phonostage. If in two weeks, you don’t think it is for you, return it.
