Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE with Level II Mods Price Lowered

This is a silver Wyred 4 Sound STP-SE preamp which had a Level II modification done through Underwood Wally at the Parts Connexion.  I am the second owner.  I have had the unmodified STP-SE preamp in the past; this Level 2 modification appears to me to lower the noise floor, increase transparency and detail, improve the specificity of imaging including depth of image, and at the same time have a more natural tonal balance.  By natural tonal balance I do not mean a rolled off high end; the treble is extended and natural. .  The modifications done are delineated on the Underwood Wally website. The cost of the modifications was $1400 and the original price of the preamp $2000 and so the $3400 valuation.  I have had many expensive preamps including the Pass Labs XP20, ARC Ref 5 SE and Aesthetics Calypso Signature.  This unit is competitive with these units and exceeds the performance of these in some significant respects.  Given the price which decent condition unmodified units are going for - about $1,200, the new price is a bargain and I think that you would be very hard pressed to find a preamp that outperforms this unit at anywhere near its price.  For most this is a destination preamp.   I inspected  and did not see a significant flaw.  Front and back appear clean.  I can send higher resolution images if needed.
