Used it on my CDs before downloading them and is no longer needed. My experience with it has been excellent. I felt that after trimming and blackening the edges, discs have more immediacy, dynamic range, and improvement in resolution. To me, that was worth the price of admission. Port in the back is for a hand held vacuum hose to catch shavings. Suggestion: Use it on a couple of practice "cheap" disks then graduate to your library. Includes original Operating Instructions.
