Originally, this gem was listed including the cabinet and counter but since nobody cared about it, I'm relisting it again for a lowered price but does not included any accessories, except fro the screw on NAB adapters and special AC cord. Nothing else.

This is a fully restored legend: Crown SX-822, by Chuck Ziska. This gent is the maximum Crown guru in the United States and his restored gems are the best Crowns you can get anywhere. As simple as that. This one were purchased by me 2 years ago without any accessories. All parts, including the heads, are NEW. All restoration work you can perform on this machine has been done. This is a plug and play machine with no excuses.

The price of this machine in 1969 were $1,500.00 not including any accessories. The sound of Crown is legendary and the durability is simply amazing. This one is over 40 years old and see how it looks. Wait until you hear it. Your jaw would drop. Crown is famous because it seems like anything you record here, sounds better than the original! I'm not going to argue that but all I can say is that very few decks out there costing many times more, run circles around this one. Hey!, and I have Otari, Studer, Revox...you named it. I'm kidding not.

This rare desirable machine is impressive in many ways; but since the original listing included the cabinet and counter and nobody cared about, we lowered the asking price but now the accessories are not included. If you are still interested in the cabinet and counter, please kindly add $495.00.

According to the Crown catalog, this machine was built to run 18 hours a day for 10 years with just minor maintenance! The frequency response is ± 2dB, 30 - 20,000 Hz; noise separation > 60dB; and flutter < 0.09%. Photocell shut-off; take up reel motor shut-off for easier editing (push button is shown in picture . Safety pins prevent the accidental change from "PLAY" to "RECORD" or "BIAS," the safety pin needs to be depressed in order to be able to change the position, see pictures. You can see the safety pin in its locked position. it weighs a hefty 100 lb! fully packed.

The shipping of this machine is costly. I paid $200.00. I have the box Chuck Ziska send the machine in and I paid $100.00 for the packaging alone. My lost, your save. I'm willing to share the cost of the shipping to the United States. The NAB adapters to be included are the screw on. Those are CROWN originals as well and almost impossible to get too. No other accessories would be included.

Feel free to ask any questions you like, but let me aware that my price is firm. The cabinet and counter MUST be shipped separately. FINALLY: BEFORE ASKING, PLEASE READ THE AD CAREFULLY TO AVOID ASKING QUESTIONS ALREADY ANSWERED IN THE AD.

THANK YOU!
