This is a beast of an amplifier - performs bigger than its specifications. But I am moving into 55+ housing situation so it is overkill to say the least. You get a strong performer that can drive almost anything. Right now it is basically coasting because I have Silverline Preludes and a sub with its own power supply.

Plus, I had a tech in Ashland, Oregon make the following modifications to reduce hum. He eliminated loops and minimized inductive sensitivity in ground wiring (basically rewired and rerouted original leads). He also soldered a braid ground plane jumper on filter PCB. Finally, the guy rotated the actual transformer to obtain a tighter internal configuration. Measurements were much improved and the unit was a lot quieter. So I believe it was $450 well spent on those improvements - that's just the upgrade, not the original price. After mods readings were: 11db reduction to S/N; N = 123db A weighted; below 28.26 Vrms (100 watts into 8 ohms; unweighted output noise = .24mV.

Here are some manufacturer specs...
200 watts per channel into 4 ohms; signal to noise 110 db A weighted; input impedance 22 k ohms; input sensitivity 150mV for each watt of output; weighs about fifty pounds.
