I purchased both components new, just over a year ago, from an authorized Wilson re-seller. The units are both in impeccable, new-like condition. This is the second generation Wilson WATCH DOG subwoofer, which underwent a radical redesign and is now the best ever. The new design allows you to remove the heat and volume occupying active electronics from within the enclosure, to a purist’s desire – a completely passive subwoofer. Now you can add the amplifier of “your” choice – go as high end as you wish, uninhibited by a limited internal amplifier.       

This package includes the renowned Wilson CONTROLLER – a powerhouse of contour, finesse and control.  The subwoofer enclosure is extremely stout and the unit is very heavy, insuring a well damped, and very low resonant cabinet with minimal enclosure flex and superb acoustics.      

The Wilson CONTROLLER facilitates incredible diversity – you can simply use it to route the Low Frequencies from either or both your two channel or your home theater system, to your Subwoofer. Or, for the ultimate experience, you can route your mains into the CONTROLLER and actively filter the cutoff frequencies of your Subwoofers and/or your mains, independently contouring the High Pass and the Low Pass crossover points as well as the High Pass and Low Pass slope.         

You can also dynamically adjust the Subwoofer Phase and can fine your system with a built-in Equalizer (which you can defeat if you prefer), controlling the Frequency, Gain/Attenuation, and Q (Quality Factor) as you please. Additionally, the master output controls the volume, a standby/bypass function, and a Line/Processor selection make it convenient to switch from two channel to theater mode. This unit is incredibly flexible, and accommodates both Single Ended and Balanced XLR inputs and outputs.
