JUST 4 days left.  My bottom line is $550 including shipping to the lower 48.  If it won't sell for this, I'll give to one of my sons. The M2Tech Young DSD DAC was purchased in 2014 and used
solely in our work shop until mid-2017.
Since we have moved the shop to Montreal, we have this fine DAC to
sell.  In getting it ready to go, we
tried it for the first time in our best room, which includes Wilson Audio Maxx
Series 2 speakers, Parasound JC1 monoblocks, and our top of the line media
server.  I was shocked at how great it
sounded – way beyond expectations for its original $1695 retail price.  It shines via AES or SPDIF(BNC).  OK, we figured out why USB was not working -- you need to install the latest v4.12 driver from M2Tech and, as well, use a USB2.0 port not a USB3.0 port.  With USB it sounds the best when using the ASIO driver for Windows (MAC doesn't need a driver).  Call me if you need help with driver installation and JRiver set-up.

This DAC is the Young DSD not the latest MKIII, but it has
everything necessary for a high-end system – balanced XLR analog outputs; all
the necessary digital inputs including both RCA and BNC for SPDIF; a great AES
input; and a USB-B input for playing from a computer.  It has a fine digital domain volume control,
with a remote control that works well.
The lettering on the small front screen is tough to see from 10 feet
away, but that is trivial for a DAC with these capabilities.  The DAC does NOT have RCA analog outputs
(which is fine for us snobs who believe one should always use balanced outputs).

Highly recommended at less than one-half its original price.  Made in Italy.  Combine this with one of the Schiit Audio small amps or pre-amps with Headphone outputs and you are set for both phones and speakers, especially if you have a music server that has AES or SPDIF outputs.  And now (4/1/18) we know that USB works just fine.

406-686-4280  As of March 23, marked down to $625 plus shipping of $22.16 in the lower 48.  Listing expires in less than two weeks.  Time for some one to make another offer.  Please note that we turned down a couple of offers at only $500, but I think you can get it for less than $625.
