A tube DAC is a fantastic way to dramatically improve your digital listening experience, and you will not find a better sounding DAC for under $1,000, if at all. The DAC-60 has a tube output with a 24bit 96kHz DAC D/A chip using BB famous 24-bit PCM1704U-K, DIF CS8414, digital filter is DF1704, VCO for low jitter, optical and coaxial input selectable with input frequency display. Two 6922EH tubes with sampling frequency display board, optical and coaxial input, Dale resistor, OS-con, etc, and using audio grade components with two R-core power transformers.

This unit was modified by Sonic Craft, who took an already great sounding DAC to new levels. According to Sonic Craft: "The power supply for the dac chips, audio circuit, and B+ receive filter improvements via Sonicaps, Rel Polystyrenes, and Black Gates. The Coupling positions received a big dose of the good stuff via increased values of Sonicap with Platinum bypasses." That is all I know about the mods. You can find more information about modding the DAC60 on line. All I know is the DAC sounds really really good.

In addition to the DAC, I will throw in the following: (1) A matched pair of NOS PhilipsECG 6922 tubes; (2) HiFace USB/SPDIF interface; (3) Handmade power, digital, and analog cables. The DAC currently has a pair of high quality NOS tubes installed. I don't recall the brand, but I can see they were made in Germany. They have been going strong for nearly 10 years, so I can't say how much life is left in them. You can download drivers for the SPDIF interface from the M2TECH webpage. I built the cables myself with high quality components. If you are the kind of person who spends hundreds or thousands on cables, you will want something else. If you are a normal person, these cables are more than adequate.

I don't want to sell this DAC, but I am moving out of the country and need money. $700 represents my "I don't want to sell it, but I'm willing to let it go" price. That said, I will consider any offer. Give me a shout if you are interested.
