I have for sale a beautiful, Audio Research Ref 3 in natural (silver). It was just cleaned and thoroughly tested by my local Audio Research dealer, and given a clean bill of health. Tube hour meter reads 3771, but all tubes were replaced a little after 1900 hours, so there are about 1800 hours on these current tubes. This includes the mighty NOS Tung-Sol 6550 blackplate tube, purchased for $350 from Brent Jessee Recording.
There is a minor blemish on the top of the front faceplate, and on the left side of the faceplate- see photos. Also, the lid of the battery compartment of the remote control doesn’t always stay fastened.
This is a fantastic preamp, and I am only parting with it to downsize to an integrated.
