One owner Quicksilver GLA stereo vacuum tube power amplifier, (serial # 0092) from the mid 1990s. Excellent condition, has been unused and covered on a shelf (in the house) for 10 years or so while I've been fiddling with head-fi. All hand wired, no circuit boards or transistors. Massively overbuilt (50+ lbs shipping), it puts out 40 wpc into 4 or 8 ohms. Smooth and transparent but not syrup-sweet tubi-ness. Comes with 6 matched Tung Sol EL34 tubes (a couple spares), and a vintage 6fd8 and 12AX7. Includes the optional tube cage, which I really like, or it can be run "naked". Great old style screw down speaker terminals take spades or bare wires super securely, and can be connected for lo or hi impedance speakers. I have run it several hours over the last week, and it sounds great driving some Sonus Faber Concertos or Merrill Zigmahornet (crossoverless) speakers. The only blem I can find is on the side where the cage screws on. The amp has 6 rubber feet on it now, but I will include the 6 solid cone points shown in the some of the pics. Buyer pays shipping and I cover my PayPal fee. Thanks for looking!
