Audio Research LS-10 Programmable Line Stage

Offered here is a beautiful example of one of ARC's more elusive of line stages, the LS10, manufactured in 1996. At the time, it was sold for a mind-boggling $5,495 and I can see why: it packed a lot of technology and ideas for its time. It's direct-coupled, has XLR and RCA for all six inputs, tape loop and outputs, individually programmable inputs and an alphanumeric display. It's a massive piece!

Although I favor ARC gear with natural faceplates, this is the only black-fronted ARC piece I currently own and it totally fits it.

Cosmetically, the only blemish I can detect is a few scratches on the top LH edge of the faceplate, hence the very conservative 8/10 rating. Other than that, no scratches or damage. It's as clean as a whistle.

Operationally, everything works exactly as it should, including the nearly impossible to find remote. The display remains super bright. The only modification done to the line state is that the original captive power chord has been cut and an IEC installed.
