Tonian Labs TL8 Like Rethm, Beauhorn, Lowther, Etc. - Reduced!

*Now including a 6' run of Tonian speaker cable worth $500.* I am the original owner of these mint Tonian TL-8s in maple finish. These use Tonian's new custom driver ($4K/pair new alone), certainly one of the best wideband drivers available now. The drivers and speakers aren't on the website yet, but see this: https://positive-feedback.com/reviews/music-reviews/tony-minasian-drums-bells/ That wideband driver is mated to a ribbon in the magical way only Tonian Labs seems able to pull off. This "semi-open-baffle" speakers is an even eight-ohm load and 98 dB/W, so virtually every type of amplifier is game. (My favorite amps, out of many I tried, were a Berning ZOTL10 and First Watt F7. But then I'm just not such a big SET guy anymore.) I preferred these speakers to Rethm Maargas which I had in turn preferred to the legendary Beauhorns, one of the very best high-efficiency designs ever. Tonian speakers are an endpoint for many lovers of acoustic music and high-efficiency speakers. These do everything: Breathe, wax, and wane with every breath of a trumpet, startle you out of your chair with transient snap, and offer as silky, luxurious, and revealing treble as can be found. Bass reach is just what it should be, IMO, for acoustic music - a solid 40 Hz or so. One of the *bottom, rear* corner has an indentation - almost impossible to notice when they're set up. You have to look. Other than that, they are completely perfect. Local pickup preferred. I'm within 1.5 hours of Chicago and Madison. Shipping would require Craters & Freighters service; I would split cost.
