Very good condition Bel Canto EVO 6 Gen 2. Use six channels and you get 120W into 8 ohms and 240W into 4 ohms. Nice advantage with this amp is the ability to bridge the channels to have up to 3 channels at 360W into 8 ohms and 600W into 4 ohms. I used this for 5 channel and also bridged two channels - the sound was very good in both modes. Selling because I bought newer model Bel Canto amps. Original boxes and packing as well as manual and power cord. I will absorb PayPal fee. Shipping will be a flat $80.
To better answer a couple questions below:
1) Age is 13 1/2 years. original owner bought late November 2004 - I bought it from him this January.
2) The class D amplification is Tripath TA 3020 after I peeked inside again. It is so clean in and out. The Hypex modules asked about are the latest ncore class d used in the latest version Ref600M monoblocs - I think $5000 for a pair new.

| What is the age of the amplifier? I believe the amplifier is about 13 years old although it does not look it. I bought this in January (I went on some kind of amplifier buying binge and this was one of a few I bought) I liked it so much I tried the 500Ms and liked those so much tried the 600Ms. Am using these in my 5.1 surround system now. So probably about 13 years but looks and sounds very good. I did have the cover off after I bought it and everything inside looks in very good shape too. Price I am asking is less than I paid - not a fire sale as I could keep this as a spare but would like to sell. Feel free to make a reasonable offer. |
| Any idea if which boards are in there, tripath or the newer hypex? I am pretty certain these are improved Tripath boards compared to th4e non-gen 2 EVO 6 models, but I think I will unpack the amplifier tonight, remove the cover and confirm. If it is different I will add to the title of the ad to show that. |
