Valve Amplification Company VAC Renaissance 70/70 MK III Class A Triode Amplifier

Up for sale is one of my favorite amplifiers! The only reason I am selling them is because I am too much gear and try not to have pieces I am not actively using. I'd rather someone have this to listen to than have it in storage in case I ever decide to create a second system.

This amp is amazing and not commonly seen for sale. This is the Mark 3 version and self bias, so is about as user friendly as possible.

The Renaissance 300B amps are some of my favorites from Kevin Hayes. The 300B is a magical tube that rarely is used for high power. The results give me goosebumps: accuracy, a deep 3 dimensional soundstage, a mid range that is very hard for any amplifier to match. The 70 watts class A power per channel is impressive and never failed to drive any speaker I used with ease. It can also be set to 0 feedback, where I got the best results. I am including the supplied VAC 300B tubes, as I found these to be the best option. They are not new but sound fantastic. The 6SN7 tubes I am using are Sylvania 6SN7GTB Black T Plate Chrome Dome and RCA 6SN7GTB. I think these are a great combination!

Details: The unit is self-biasing and rated at 70 watts per channel would be a conservative statement. Amp weight is around 90 lbs and I will use a separate box for the tubes.

I have these listed as 7/10 just for age of tubes, some tarnishing, and a bit of of wear on the back. I'm going to see if that can be cleaned up but that's my rationale for the rating.
