OPPO BDP-105 Rare Silver case

The Oppo BDP-105 was the company’s flagship universal player when it was first introduced in 2013. The Darbee model that appeared the following year introduced additional imaging processing. When I demoed it, the amount of tweaking required for nearly everydisc was enough to drive me to distraction. There were also obvious artifacts that were exposed in my reference-quality 1080p display so I have stuck with the “plain vanilla” version that is now for sale. 

While it was intended for 1920 x 1080 displays, it delivers a stunning 1080p Blu-ray picture to 4K UHD displays that was indistinguishable from that coming from my 4K UHD player. Likewise, the BDP-105 is a stellar audio player and will play most of the current formats as listed in the specifications, including DVD-A and HDCD (which the UDP players will not play).  There are streaming apps like Netflix, Pandora, VUDU and YouTube that the newer Oppo players have dropped and its streaming capability is rock solid, limited only by the inherent speed of the wireless or Ethernet network connection

This player is built like the proverbial tank and is a flawless performer. This player is in mint condition and has all of the original accessories, operator’s manual and packaging.  As noted, these players will be soon be selling for more than their list price as they become increasingly scarce on the pre-owned market.  I will accept PayPal with usual fees, certified check or personal check (when it clears).
