Up for sale is my like-new second generation Peachtree Grand Pre X1, acquired here on Audiogon a while back. The previous owner sent this unit to Peachtree for service and upgrade to the X-1 version, and they replaced display bulbs and completed a full inspection. It is essentially a certified pre-owned unit with factory bill of clean health at a fraction of the price. Additionally, I just replaced both the tubes with a brand new matched pair at Peachtree's direction. I'm only selling this one because I finally found a Grand Integrated (same as this unit, but with an amplifier inside).
Comes with original remote, power cord, owners manual, and packaging/box. Truly a clean as they come.
This is the top of the line Peachtree DAC (24bit/192kHz with sabre chip USB & I2S) combined with a beautiful sounding tube pre. The Grand Pre is famous for taking on DAC/Pre combos 10x the price. If you are reading, you likely already know. Peachtree's top of the line DAC continually impresses.
On the incredible value of this unit: "what you get is a preamp worth $3000, a dac that can compete well up into the $4000-$5000 range, and a headphone amp that matches designs that run for around $500" (6moons).
