If you turn this on, does it automatically turn off after some time? Or can you just turn it on and leave it on?
Does the RCA output have a fixed mode? Or is it always variable output?

Thanks for the questions. When you turn it on, it stays on. Regarding the output, are you referring to the volume control? If so, the volume output is fixed. The remote has volume buttons but those control the source volume (on some sources) not the DAC’s volume. It does not have a preamp type volume control.
