If you know what this unit is you do not need to much of a description. It is a reference grade surround sound processor capable of 7.1. This unit has the HDMI 1.4 upgrade board so it can handle 3D.
This unit was just serviced at Classe in the United Kingdom. (It was sent there from the new Boston center to speed up the backlog after the Montreal site was closed). The touchscreen was not as responsive so they replaced it and "the SSP-800 passed a full function test to manufacturer's specification. The SSP-800 also passed electrical safety tests." (I will include the paperwork on this from Classe.) It has the latest firmware and functions perfectly.
There are no flaws on the unit. I gave it an 8/10 but as you can see from the pictures, it looks and functions as it did they day it was purchased. I am the original owner and it has been kept in an immaculate setting.
This unit was $9000.00 in 2010 and had the upgraded HDMI board installed in 2014. All original packaging, accessories and manual included!
