KEF XQ-5

These are KEF XQ5's in the dark grey (graphite) finish with
super-tweeters on top. They were manufactured in the early- to
mid-2000's and retailed for $3,000/pair when new.

Each speaker includes three 6.5 inch drivers, with the top driver
serving as the midrange and also housing the tweeter. On top of the
speaker, you'll find a super-tweeter to reach the highest of high
frequencies.

Personally, I think the best part about these speakers are their
imaging. I have had a variety of speakers and these are very enjoyable
with high quality recordings. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to demo
these speakers as I have removed my two channel setup from my home.

The only negative about these are their physical condition. They do have
several marks and scrapes on them. There is also a small chip near the
bottom of one speaker, but it is not very deep. I bought them with the
marks and treated the speakers with the utmost care. They do come with
factory grill covers. The drivers are in perfect condition and I
recently verified their functionality. I have factored in the appearance
into my asking price. I do not believe you can find the sound quality
of these in anything near their price point in the new market.
