For sale is a Brinkmann Oasis Direct Drive Turntable in maple finish with Brinkmann 10.5 Tonearm (cartridge and HRS record clamp not included).

I've had this turntable since 2014 and it has been absolutely flawless with never an issue. I've conservatively rated it an 8 due to age. There is some minor wear evident in the headshell screw channels from normal usage, but other than that I can't find any flaws that I can detect.

I recently checked the speed with my new Sutherland Timeline, and it is speed stable, and does not need adjustment. In fact, I've never needed to adjust it since getting it.
One remarkable thing about this turntable (and a testament to it's engineering) is that once setup, it never needs to be tweaked...seemingly ever. It's as close to "plug and play" as I've ever encountered in a table. There's no slop anywhere; it just feels like a tightly engineered instrument; it's been a joy to use, and I'm sure it will provide a lifetime of trouble free operation for it's new owner.

The table is designed with a low torque, core-less, direct drive motor with only 4 inductors. Coupled with a high mass (22 lbs), high inertia platter, it provides smooth "cogless" operation, and extreme pitch stability.

Overview
A belt driven turntable platter can be a source of electromechanical distortion. Experiments with various turntable platter diameters, materials and strings and belts showed, that the removal of a turntable platter belt can lessen audible playback distortion.

The Brinkmann OASIS turntable platter is thus motor driven directly. A circular magnet, built into the platter bearing, is driven by four exactly controlled magnetic fields which create four precise to phase angle aligned air coils. The speed is constantly checked by precision-echo-sensors to keep the platter at the proper (33.333 and 45 rpm) speed. Alignment of constant-drive-fluctuations is avoided. Constant-drive-fluctuations and speed variations are effectively prevented by having a precise machined and calibrated bearing and spindle which is borrowed from larger Brinkmann turntables.
