Highest quality parts were used - Kiwame, Allen-Bradley carbon 
comps (gridstoppers), and Dale precision resistors, russian PIO coupling 
caps, silver teflon signal wire, Nerve Audio RCA connectors, Belden power supply cable.

Precise soundstage, clarity and transparency with a bit of characteristic midrange tube "bloom" that widens the stage and gives air and detail to the sound that could be best described as "sweet" and "relaxing to the ears". Accurate highs, sweet midrange, controlled bass, Aikido magic in action - a perfect analog front end to your digital amplifier.

This Aikido uses outboard power supply enabling the use of smaller and nicer looking chassis. Outboard PS also solves the problem of power transformer induced noise and hum - the preamplifier is dead quiet.

I have built many preamplifiers including dozens of Aikido tube. I put one for sale only if I am satisfied with its performance and deem it to be a great piece of audio equipment. I am a professional classically trained musician, have degree in Electrical Engineering, long time audiophile.
