This is TT-15S1model. I can’t change the listing title for some reason. Carton photo added 5/15. The cartridge is a Clearaudio Virtuoso. The current "v2" version of this model goes for around $900.
From Marantz site: "...The included phono cartridge is the top-class Clearaudio Virtuoso MM model which features an ebony wood body that resists resonances along with a specially polished diamond stylus, lightweight aluminum cantilever and highly effective cartridge damping."
Original owner, purchased new a few years ago from Audio Den on Long Island.
Essentially this is a ClearAudio manufactured turntable badged with a Marantz label. The cartridge alone is worth my price according to the gent who sold it to me - and I have no reason not to take him at his word. I've bought a fair amount of stuff from them and they've always been A+ with me.
Very little, ad I do mean very little use over the years. (2-3?) Sounded great when I had a BAT preamp, and even still with my current - also for sale - Modwright KWi-200 integrated with factory phono stage built in. If your integrated or preamp does not have a phono stage, you'll need one to use this.
This does not have a dustcover. I don't think there's one available, either. Belt drive. Simple. [5/15] I just received a message from a fellow member here with 100% positive feedback who DOES have a dustcover for this model. Never knew that. Obviously that's an entirely separate transaction from this and is in no way connected.
Original box, manual, cartridge. I'll include the Moo-mat, record clamp, and if you don't have a phono stage I'll toss a cheap ProJect one in the sale.
I listen mostly through my server/streamer so this has gotten very little use since purchase. It's as mint as you'll find.
I am reluctant to ship since I've never before shipped a turntable. I very much prefer a local pickup or meet in order not to risk damage to the stylus/cartridge. If you live within a reasonable distance of 11755 arrangements can be discussed. If I MUST ship and insure you the buyer pays that additionally. I will charge only what I am charged. PayPal fee is absorbed by me.
I am a 100% positive feedback member here, and I won't entertain inquiries from any party without the same. Lowballers need not bother.
Thanks for looking.
