Heathkit AA-61 Tube Monoblocks Fully Rebuilt with Mullard Tubes

This is a rare pair of fully restored Heathkit AA-61 Monoblock Tube Amplifiers. They have been fully rebuilt and recapped by top Heathkit technician Dano55 from Audiokarma; using the highest quality parts and New Old Stock Mullard Tubes. Excellent cosmetics and perfect working condition. Very rare museum quality pieces.

The AA-61 amps are the successor and final version of Heathkit's UAstyle mono amplifiers offered in the early 60s. The AA-61's are the successor to both the UA-1 and UA 2 Series Mono Amps. This pair has matching date codes on the output transformers (31st week of 1961). The power transformers dates are five weeks apart.

These have been fully restored using 1% precision resistors, expensive musicaps coupling caps, new filtering caps, etc. The power supply has been beefed up to provide better bass response. The technician declared these as the nicest pair that he restored and they were the prize of his personal collection. Every owner who has purchased a pair of UA amplifiers from Dano55 has stated words to the effect "these are the best amplifiers I have ever owned or heard". No lie---they are.

This was the best and last set left in his collection. It was a hard decision about selling these but we all have make hard decisions.

Because of the additional expense of the high quality musicaps, approximately $100, and the quad of rare Mullard 6BQ5 output tubes added to the job for each amp these are bargain. In addition to the quad of Mullard 6BQ5 output tubes, they will include two 6AN8s and two 6CA4 rectifiers. In addition, I will include a quad of very nice sounding Russian tubes as well.

These are phenomenal sounding amps and dead quiet. Besides the technical stuff, I do know these amps sounds amazing on my all my speakers and they looks incredible too. You'll be blown away by the build and performance of these amps.
