Gradient SW-63

SW-63 Subwoofer for Quad ESL-63 loudspeakers. This sale does not include Quad
ESL-63s.    

This pair
of Gradient SW-63 subwoofers are for use with the Quad ESL-63 loudspeaker.
 The Crossover uses RCA connectors.  These sub were purchased in 1998
and used on a daily basis until 2015.    They have a few miles on them
and may benefit from the base drivers being replaced at some point although
they are fully functional and still sounding good.  

The wood panel that fits over the back of the ESL-63's is cracked on one speaker and has been glued and repaired it is average repair.   There are two corners of one speakers showing minor fraying in of the fabric.

This system
crosses over at 120 Hz to extend the bass response of the Quad ESL-63 and
allows them to play louder.  These are dipole subs closely matching the
speed and radiation pattern of the ESL-63's. As such, they require some
equalization supplied by the external powered crossover. To use these subs with
Quads, a second power amplifier is required. The audio signal from the preamp
is sent to the crossover box (RCA connectors). One pair of connectors then goes
to the power amp driving the Quads. 

Each unit
is 18 3/4"H x 26"W x 11"D. Weight is 41 lbs.

These will
be carefully boxed for shipment. I may be able to ship these in a single carton
in which case the carton will be ca. 24"H x 30"W x 30"D and will
weigh ca. 95 lbs.

The buyer
is responsible for shipping and insurance coverage.   The speakers are acurrantely  represented in this ad and are being sold "AS IS".   

This sale does not include Quad ESL-63s.    I have a pair of ESL-63's recently restored by legendary restorer Wayne Piquet including original stands that i would consider selling also.
