The Classic Turntable power supply was made to help a Garrard 301 or 401 reach its potential.
The Classic Turntable power supply allows the user to lower the line input voltage going to the turntable down a level where no vibration can be heard from the motor. A Garrard motor’s RPM can still be maintained at a lower voltage. Best results are obtained with the eddy brake magnet out of the way of the disc or even removed. All speed selections and alterations can be done with the Classic Turntable power supply controls. A female IEC to male AC plug is needed to connect to the power coming out of the power supply and a Male IEC to female ICE plug is usually needed to connect to a Garrard turntable (not included). A power cord that provides power from the wall to the supply is included.
The only thing that stops this from being rated a 10 is that there is a small chip on the upper right corner of the back of the supply (See photo).

roncflat Yes, the power supply is set for 110 volts. The eddy brake on a Garrard 301 or 401 is used to slow the motor in order to get the correct speed. The speed of the motor can be adjusted with the power supply so the eddy can be disengaged. |
