Rotel RDV-1045

I am the original owner of this Rotel RDV-1045 DVD player purchased new in 2009. I conservatively rate this unit as 7/10 exclusively due to its age. As is evident from the photos, it is in near-mint condition. I take meticulous care of my audio electronics. This unit has always been used only by me & in a smoke-free home.

This was a high-end player in its day & still has the chutzpah to play with the big dogs. It will play both DVDs & CDs with superb fidelity & fluidity. This is a pre-HDMI unit, so it is only equipped with legacy video interfaces: composite, S-video & component. It also has both analog audio output & a TOSLink optical digital one to permit an instant upgrade to any DAC accepting a TOSLink digital signal.

Rotel is well known among audio- & videophiles for producing electronics that perform superbly for less money than would be expected to garner that level of excellence. The picture is clean, sharp and doesn’t jitter. The audio is detailed, precise & not fatiguing. This unit performs equally well as a DVD player, as a single-CD player or as a single-CD transport. I have used in all three capacities & was consistently pleased with its performance.

This player will come packed in its original heavy-duty shipping carton complete with original padding. Included is the manual, the original power cable & the original Owner’s Manual < If you would like, I can also send you a pdf copy of the manual>.

I will use the actual size and weight of the boxed RDV-1045 to calculate S&H on the UPS website & full insurance will be required. I will only charge you the amount provided by the UPS website – if that estimate is dramatically more than it ends up actually costing, I will refund the difference to you. I prefer to ship via UPS <if you demand FedEx, I can arrange that>, but due to previous experiences, I will NOT ship it USPS. However, if you live in central Arkansas or are willing to drive to here & wish to meet me to exchange the amp for cash <or if you have made prepayment>, you could save the S&H.
