This is a 1.75 meter, 15 amp, Shunyata Research Sigma NR cord. Purchased in 2018. This is the "NR" version of Sigma's line, the newest version of their Sigma cords, not to be confused with the Sigma Analogue, which have also owned. Has stellar performance, superior to the previous Sigma version by means of containing its own internal line conditioning. A more musical tone, closer to the sound of actual acoustic instruments than previous Sigma version. Quite an improvement and a triumph, with much more solid mid bass and deep bass impact, a noticeably lower noise floor, perhaps due to the in-line conditioner built into the cord. This makes background vocalists, in particular, clearer in their enunciations, while giving the lead singer (say, Mick Jagger) a tone more like Mick sounds live: nasally and boyish on original issue albums, while simultaneously allowing female vocalists to sound more present. A "bigger" sound with more of the original acoustic environment (that low noise floor) is present, and the imaging has more solidity than the original Sigma, which could be a bit soft in bass impact, power and weight. The solidity follows thru the lower midrange, midrange and upper midrange as well. Rim shots have that "metal" sound without excessive sibilants that can come with an enhanced upper midrange performance. Will make a "merely" good amplifier sound REALLY good - even great - and a great one sound dazzling, if your system allows. Could fairly be rated mint, but prefer to rate conservatively. All Reasonable offers entertained; Lowballs, not considered. Buyer pays Paypal and shipping. US only, please.
