The Triode Labs EL84TT is a single ended triode tube integrated utilizing four EL84 output tubes operating in parallel class “A” configuration. Input tubes are 12AX7 parallel triodes. The amplifier generates a conservative 6 WPC output to either 8 or 16 ohms, making it compatible with modern high efficiency 8 ohm speakers or vintage 16 ohm speakers like the LS3/5a.
Upgrades to this amp include: Mundorf silver in oil caps, Cardas speaker binding posts, dual RCA inputs with rotary source selector/mute control, and Furutech IEC power cable socket. Please note that the Hammond (Canada) output transformers are designed for class “A” bias but may be used for push/pull operation in the event that 12 watts per channel power output is desired (a simple factory conversion).
