| The ad says NOS. I'm curious as to what year this first came out as a new product and how many 'new improved ' versions have been introduced since the debut of this cable.

Tom Hi Tom - this cable was current up until about 2012 approximately. There is one version which is newer and superseded this one and that one is $889/1m cable - it is the Heimdall 2 digital.

I'm not 100% positive what year the Silver Shadow was introduced, but I am positive that it is a great cable, and at listed price this is an outstanding deal.
